In as few as 17 months, complete our FAA Part 141 approved associate degree (AAS) in Aviation Flight. Fly toward your six certifications and ratings exams in our technically advanced fleet of Piper Archers. Third-party certifications are not guaranteed.
After graduation, apply and interview to become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)² at our flight school to complete 1,250 flight hours. Our program qualifies for a restricted privilege ATP certificate.³
Graduates approaching 1,000 flight hours are given a priority interview with SkyWest Airlines. The Pilot Career Pathway also gives you access to interview preparation, mentoring, and networking through SkyWest.

In as few as 17 months, you can complete our FAA Part 141 approved program and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) at an ACCSC accredited college earning your Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Single Engine, Commercial Pilot Multi-Engine, Certified Flight Instructor, and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) certifications.*
After graduation, recieve a guaranteed interview to become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) at our flight school and help train more SkyWest cadets to become pilots.
When you graduate with your AAS in Aviation Flight you become qualified to reduce your Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) hours to 1,250, which you can accumulate as a CFI.
As you approach your 1,250 hours, be among the first to interview with SkyWest Airlines. Being a part of the SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program at Spartan College gives you access to interview prep, mentoring, and networking.

1,250 RESTRICTED ATP FLIGHT TIME
Our CFI-to-student ratio is available to complete at least four lessons per week. Plus, Spartan's Colligate Associate Degree in Aviation Flight requires fewer flying hours for Restricted ATP than the 1,500-hour base requirement.⁴

² The SkyWest Pilot Career Pathway (“Pathway”) is intended to provide SkyWest with a pipeline of prospective pilots. The Pathway is available to interested Spartan College students who are enrolled in the Aviation Flight Degree Program (“Program”) and accepted by SkyWest. Pathway terms and availability may be subject to change. Spartan College is not a party to any contract between SkyWest and the students. Graduates of the Program are not eligible for employment as a pilot with SkyWest until logging 1,250 flight hours post-graduation. Employment is not guaranteed.
