Spartan College’s Denver Campus Showcased Aviation Maintenance Skills at AMC Competition 2025 with Support from SkyWest Airlines

Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology’s Denver campus was proud to compete in thee 2025 Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) which took place April 7-10 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. This year, the Spartan Denver team was sponsored by SkyWest Airlines, the Spartan Denver team will showcase their technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and teamwork in this premier aviation maintenance event. With SkyWest’s support, the team showcased their technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and collaborative team spirit at the highly anticipated aviation maintenance event. Spartan College and SkyWest Airlines have been working together through the Aviation Technician Pathway and which launched in 2021. Since their launch, the pathways have empowered students across the country to begin their journey toward rewarding careers in aviation, helping address the growing demand for skilled aviation professionals in the industry. 

Hosted annually by the Aerospace Maintenance Council, the AMC brings together aviation maintenance professionals, military technicians, and students from around the globe to compete in fast-paced, real-world aircraft maintenance scenarios. Spartan College’s participation emphasized its commitment to hands-on training that prepares students for success in the aviation maintenance field. 

The Spartan Denver campus team was led by Coach Mark Fajardo, an experienced instructor dedicated to guiding students through rigorous preparation. The team trained extensively in the weeks leading up to the competition—refining their skills to tackle complex maintenance tasks under pressure. 

The annual event is not only a celebration of technical skill and teamwork, but also a testament to the power of education and industry collaboration.
