Customized Training

Contract training is a critical element for many companies and sectors of government that help to keep their employees up-to-date on the latest technologies. From its beginnings, Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology has been involved in the development and delivery of specialized training to both international and domestic companies and government organizations that have a need to train individuals in various aviation disciplines.

Prior to and during World War II, Spartan trained pilots of the United States Army Air Corps and the Royal Air Force of Great Britain. Spartan’s flight school has also developed and implemented specialized fixed-wing and helicopter pilot courses for the Ministry of Interior, Saudi Arabia. Spartan has also provided airline transport training for pilots of Yemeni Airlines, Alyemda Airlines, the United States Air Force, Kuwait Airways, Iceland air, Iraq aAirways, Royal Nepal Airways, Air China, China Eastern, Shandong, Shenzhen and China Postal.

Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology maintains industry-current equipment to offer excellent hands-on training. For our technical aviation maintenance and airplane electronics training, Spartan has over 19 aircraft. For flight training, Spartan has 2 flight simulators including a RedBird full-motion simulator and Frasca Level 5 Flight Training Device.  Spartan College maintains a fleet of approximately 45 aircraft including Cessna 152s, 172s, Peper Arrow for advanced complex training and Piper Seminoles for multi-engine training.

ESL Training

In addition to the list above, international contract training may also require coursework in the areas of English language training for aviation and personal computer skills for aviation. All of which can be arranged at Spartan. Spartan College currently has an accredited ESL Program that incorporates industry leading DynEd Aviation English interactive software. This 600-contact hour program consists of seven 1-month modules of instruction. The blended classroom incorporates both instructor lead and self-paced study by the students. On going tutoring is also provided throughout our curriculums to ensure students maintain the appropriate level of English throughout their academic program of study.
