Spartan’s aviation school’s Financial Aid Department assists students and their families in exploring supplemental funding options to meet the cost of education. Financial aid is available for those who qualify and is considered secondary to the efforts of students and their families in providing financial support.
There are many ways to help fund an education and financial aid in Tulsa can come in many forms. More than likely, aviation school financial aid will come from a combination of different types of funding. The types and amounts of financial aid awarded are determined by several factors such as financial need, availability of funds and academic performance.
Examples of Federal Financial Aid come in two basic forms at aeronautical schools, loans and grants. This type of aid is available only to U.S. citizens or permanent residents
Federal Student Loans
Are usually offered to students who qualify at a lower interest rate and can be a great way to establish credit history. Stafford, Perkins and the Parent PLUS are all examples of government student loans.
Federal Financial Aid
Loans you have to pay back and federal grants you do not. Pell and FSEOG grants are based on need and others like the Academic Competitive Grant have additional criteria such as GPA.
As mentioned, flight school financial assistance can come in many forms. Your overall financial plan will include some if not all of the sources below:
- Student Loans
- Grants
- Alternative funding which can include scholarships
- EFC is your Estimated Family Contribution.
Any dream worth pursuing takes planning, commitment and sacrifice. Having a financial plan is the best first step in realizing your goal of a career in the aviation industry. An investment in your education is the best investment you can make in yourself.
Take the first step and contact Spartan today to see if you’re eligible for financial aid in Tulsa!
