INTRODUCING THE ALTITUDE PILOT PATHWAY
The Altitude Pilot Pathway provides eligible Spartan College students at the Tulsa Flight Facility an opportunity to connect with Allegiant as they continue progressing toward a career as a professional pilot. Students may be eligible to enter the Altitude Pilot Pathway after earning their Commercial Pilot Certificate.
Altitude cadets will meet senior Allegiant executives and get to know the airline, home bases and culture, both in-person and through an exclusive online community. Additionally, cadets may have priority opportunities to become an Altitude CFI and build their required flight hours.

After earning your Commercial Pilot Certificate at Spartan College’s Tulsa Flight Facility, you may apply to the Altitude Pilot Pathway, subject to eligibility requirements and availability. As part of the application process, you will need to gather required documents and complete applicable forms. If you are unsure about any step, we are here to help.
YOUR TRAINING PATH TO ALLEGIANT
Flight Training
Pilots are required to learn continuously. Students at Spartan College’s Tulsa Flight Facility begin by progressing through their flight training and earning the certificates and ratings needed to reach the Commercial Pilot Certificate.
Students may become eligible to apply to the Altitude Pilot Pathway after earning their Commercial Pilot Certificate, subject to pathway requirements and availability. From there, eligible cadets can continue building experience and progressing toward additional certificates, ratings and flight-hour requirements.
Flight Training Milestones*
Before Entering Altitude

Private Pilot Certificate
Students start by training to earn a private pilot certificate. This is when aspiring pilots learn to fly an aircraft. Training occurs on Cessna 172s equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics.

Instrument Rating
Once a candidate has their private pilot certificate, they may earn their instrument rating. This demonstrates a pilot’s ability to fly through weather conditions that require navigation with instruments.

Commercial Pilot Certificate
This certificate allows candidates to receive payment for flying. Achieving this milestone is key to building flight hours and working toward the required Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.

Multi-Engine Rating
A multi-engine rating builds on the commercial pilot certificate. Candidates may train in a twin-engine Piper Seminole at higher speeds and altitudes.

Certified Flight Instructor Certification
A CFI certificate enables a pilot to train student pilots at flight schools. To qualify you must already have earned your commercial pilot license.

Certified Flight Instructor Instrument
This is similar to the previously described CFI certificate, with an add-on for training others to use instruments to navigate through weather conditions.

Leadership Training
Altitude Pilot Pathway participants, who have achieved CFI and CFII certifications, will complete leadership training, enhancing their skills, knowledge, and ultimately their effectiveness in the workplace and in the flight deck. Courses such as Team Management, Leading and Motivating, and Managing Diversity are examples of Altitude coursework from Harvard ManageMentor, sponsored by Harvard Business Publishing.
Allegiant Application
Once Leadership Training is completed, participants can apply to a first officer position at Allegiant. Candidates must remain in good standing with the school, completion of required ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) hours, and other Allegiant employment qualifications apply.*
Build ATP Hours
Upon being hired* as an Altitude flight instructor, to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, candidates must meet minimum flying hour requirements.
While time-building, candidates may have opportunities to tour Allegiant's headquarters in Las Vegas and meet executive leadership.
Fly at Allegiant
Upon completing Altitude Pilot Pathway training and required hours, cadets may have the opportunity to begin their career at Allegiant*.
