Program Details​

Aviation Flight, Associate of Applied Science (Degree)

17 Months (*Airplane Pilot Commercial D.O.T. 196.263-014)

This program is designed to provide the necessary education and entry-level skills that will prepare students for FAA certifications and ratings exams.¹

The ground school courses equip students with the academic knowledge to safely and efficiently perform flight duties and also prepare them for their required FAA written examinations. Flight training prepares students for their respective FAA flight exams in accordance with the FAA Airmen Certification Standards.¹

The general education courses are designed to enhance students’ background and intellectual proficiency. Aviation safety, professionalism, and precision flying are emphasized in all courses.

  • Private Pilot Airplane Single-Engine
  • Instrument Rating
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate Airplane Single-Engine
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate Airplane Multi-Engine
  • Certified Flight Instructor Certificate
  • Certified Flight Instructor Instrument
¹While no college can guarantee employment, many FAA141 program graduates begin by applying for positions such as a Certified Flight Instructor while building flight hours to become eligible for ATP certification and regional pilot positions.

Country Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Be able to obtain an FAA medical certificate.
  • Must be proficient in English.
  • Hold a valid passport with at least 6 months before expiration.
  • You will need to apply for and receive an M1 visa.
  • Must be available to be a full-time student 5 days per week.

GACA Saudi Arabian Pilot Conversion Process:

Once Saudi Arabian students complete their FAA pilot training, they will need to follow the below steps to officially convert their licenses to GACA (General Authority of Civil Aviation). In order to initiate the conversion process, students must register on the GACA website and follow the posted instructions for electronically submitting the below document copies:

  • Valid Passport
  • Saudi ID / Residency Permit
  • 2 Recent Photos 3cm x 3cm (white background & uncovered head)
  • All Foreign Pilot Certificates
  • 1st Page and Last 4 Pages of Flight Logbook
  • English Language Proficiency Certificate (minimum level 4)
  • Current and Valid GACA Medical Certificate
  • Receipt for the Required Fees
  • Digital Picture in .jpg Format (white background & uncovered head)
  • Digital Signature in .jpg Format (signatures form)

Certification: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AME), issued by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).
