Pierre DeBond

Spartan College of Aeronautics & Technology Graduate and Airline Pilot, Pierre DeBond, talks about his experiences and why Spartan is a good option when it comes to flight school.
Transcript:
Hello, my name is Pierre DeBond. I'm 25 years old. I'm an airline captain at an airline in the United States. I'm originally from Sri Lanka and I moved to the United States when …in the year 2012. I attended Spartan in 2013 and I was here for two years as a student.

In those two years, I was able to learn the trade that I will continue on for the rest of my life – being a professional aviator. Specifically, an airline pilot. They taught me everything that I need to know here to further my career in the best way possible, in minimal time. It was a very professional environment with all the instructors that I had. I was able to get the best education that money could get me, and now I’m here continuing my dream of being an airline pilot in the United States.

It's an obvious cliche to say that being a pilot is the best job in the world, but after doing it for four and a half years I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that it is the best job in the world. There's nothing else that can replace it. I've been doing what I love for four and a half years and it doesn't feel like work anymore to me. It feels like I’m just like going to grab the milk. It's something that's so second nature and
it's something that I enjoy doing thoroughly, and I don't ever see myself giving it up. And the only reason that all of that's possible is because I got a quality education from a quality establishment, and I cannot say thank you enough.
