Join Us for Spartan AERO Day: Celebrating 95 Years of Aviation Excellence!

Celebrate Spartan's 95th birthday with us on Friday, September 22! Between our campuses, we have trained over 100,000 pilots and technicians since we began way back in 1928. To commemorate this special occasion, we're hosting an exclusive event in collaboration with American Airlines' Safety Team at our Tulsa Flight Facility.

What to Expect:

  • Insights into Aviation Safety: Dive deep into the Threat and Error Management (TEM) concept. This is a straightforward safety approach applicable to all flight operations and will be presented by our special guest, Captain John DeLeeuw, from American Airlines.
  • Engage with Experts: Engage in meaningful discussions with the American Airlines Safety Team and learn from their vast experience.
  • Exclusive Facility Tour: Post-presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the Tulsa Flight Facility, meet our instructors, speak to our admissions team, and get a glimpse of where aviation magic happens!
  • Certificate of Completion: Attend the safety presentation and receive a certificate of completion from Spartan College, a valuable addition to your professional portfolio.

Spotlight on Our Guest Speaker - Captain John DeLeeuw of American Airlines:

Captain DeLeeuw, the Managing Director of Safety and Efficiency at American Airlines, leads a robust team dedicated to airline safety. John plays a pivotal role in programs like Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA), Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), and line. Beyond American Airlines, John is also an active safety instructor for the University of Southern California’s Aviation Safety and Security Program. He specializes and teaches Aviation Safety Management Systems, Safety Performance Indicators, Incident Investigation & Analysis, and Human Factors.

So come join us for a day filled with learning and aviation! As we often say, "knowledge and skill overcome superstition and luck." Join us on this special day and be a part of our legacy!
