Current Students: File Your FAFSA by May 1, 2014

Have you filed your FAFSA for next year? We want to remind all current students that the 14/15 FAFSA will be due May 1st, 2014. You should file your 2013 federal taxes as early as possible. If you are considered (by the Department of Education) a dependent student, your parents should do the same. The 14/15 FAFSA is now available for completion on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov .

If you require assistance, please stop by the Financial Aid office as soon as possible. Please keep in mind your FAFSA will be past due after May 1st, 2014. In order to avoid a delay in your Financial Aid processing be certain it is completed on time. If there is any reason that you or your parents cannot complete the 14/15 FAFSA by May 1st, 2014, please stop by the Financial Aid office and speak to your Financial Aid Representative immediately.

Don’t wait! Some federal financial aid grants and loans have limited funds and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that even if you’re eligible for a grant or loan, if you file after the money for the year has run out, you’re out of luck.

Early FAFSA filers are more likely to be awarded all of the aid for which they are eligible.
