NATIONAL INTERCOLLEGIATE FLYING ASSOCIATION NIFA
NIFA is a well-recognized aviation organization that has been around since 1948. It hosts competition among Flight Campuses throughout the country. Flying events include Power-off Landing, Short Field Landings, Cross-Country Navigation, Message Drops and IFR Precision Flight. Ground Events include E6B Computer Accuracy, Simulator Flights, Pre-Flight Inspections, Aircraft Recognition and more. Schools around the country are divided into Eleven Regions. Spartan is located in Region VI, which includes Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and part of Texas. We will initially compete among these schools. By performing well at the regional competition, our team could move on to the SAFECON, the National meet, where only the top teams from each region compete. NIFA has a panel of Judges who award items like Team Trophies, Individual Grants and Scholarships, etc. All students participating in NIFA must be enrolled in Spartan School of Aeronautics Flight Program. This is a great opportunity to compete for your school, meet people from other aviation schools, gain some valuable flying and aviation related experience, and have a lot of fun, too. Contact the NIFA Advisor at the Flight Campus for more information. You are not required to have your private pilot license to try-out for the team. This is a learning environment and will enhance all skill levels in aviation.

Electronics Technicians Association
The ETA is a non-profit, worldwide association who's sole purpose is to provide recognized professional credentials as a testament to an individual's skill and knowledge in a particular area of study.
