One of Spartan’s many nontraditional student services includes student employment assistance. Spartan’s Student Employment Department assists students in obtaining employment while they attend college. Although most students are seeking only part-time employment, full-time employment assistance is also available. Assistance is also available for spouses who will be supporting student’s attending college.

The goal of the Student Employment Office is to speed up the process of finding a job in Tulsa. Before students arrive in Tulsa, the student employment office has located employers in Tulsa who are seeking part-time employees for positions that typically match a student’s need. Once students arrive for registration they are provided a list of those employers who are currently hiring. Students will then contact those employers to complete the application and interview process.

The Student Employment Office will also assist students in completing resumes, contacting health department for food handler’s permits, and advising on interview and job obtaining skills. On-Campus recruiting visits are held during the first two weeks of each term.
