Associate Degree or Diploma
At Spartan College in Tulsa, you can earn your Aviation Maintenance Technology diploma in as few as 15 months or your Associate of Applied Science degree in as few as 18 months. Coursework is comprised of 60 percent hands-on learning, and Microsoft Surface tablets are used to enhance your learning experience, allowing you to complete interactive assignments and take your studies with you wherever you go.
Our Los Angeles Area campus offers the Airframe and Powerplant program which can be completed in about 17.5 months.
All of the above Aviation Maintenance (A&P) programs offered at Spartan College can help prepare you for the Airframe and Powerplant certification required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Students will learn about all types of aircrafts, from small engine airplanes to large transport planes like those used in today's major airlines. You will complete critical airplane maintenance training in areas such as:
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ignition and electrical systems
- Fuel systems
- Aircraft welding
- Turbine-prop and jet engines
