Spartan College Announces 5-Year Partnership With USAF

As reported in the Tulsa World on August 28thSpartan College of Aeronautics and Technology has signed a $12 million, five-year contract to provide training to the United States Air Force. The program, similar to one Spartan participated in during the Iraq war, will prepare about 30 USAF personnel annually to work in Afghanistan as Air Force Air Advisors. Air Advisors will support Afghan forces as they take control of their nation’s defenses. Starting immediately, Spartan will provide maintenance, flight, and ground support training on Cessna T182s and 208s, and avionics maintenance training on Beech King Air 350s. These small aircraft are used for reconnaissance and transport missions. This program represents a continuation of Spartan’s tradition of supporting America’s military aviators. We are proud to work with the United States Air Force!
