Welcome to Spartans Financial Aid Process
The following steps will serve as a guide to completing the process required to process your student aid in the most efficient manner.

Step 1 FAFSA	Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) You will be required to establish a FAFSA PIN, on the web site, once established you will need to complete the application itself. You will need to indicate Spartan College of Aeronautics (School Code 007678) as a designated institution to receive your results. Additionally, you will need your parents most recent Federal Tax Return if you are a dependent student or your own if you are an independent student. The majority of all student aid awarded is dependent on a complete and accurate FAFSA; please complete your FAFSA as soon as possible.

Step 2 FA APPLICATION	Complete the Spartan Financial Aid Application Fax to: 918-831-5268 or mail to: Spartan Office of Financial Aid, 8820 Pine Street, Tulsa, OK 74115

Step 3 STUDENT LOAN COUNSELING	Complete the Student Loan Entrance Counseling We encourage all students to complete the Mapping Your Future Student Loan Counseling so that we can expedite any loan needs that you may have.

Step 4 STUDENT DIRECT LOANS	Complete a Stafford Student Loan Master Promissory StudentLoans.gov

Step 5 PARENT DIRECT LOANS	Please do not apply for the Parent PLUS Loan until you are within 90 days of your start date.. We encourage all Dependent Students to have their Parents Complete a PLUS Loan Application; they are not required to accept any loan funds if approved, however, you may be eligible for an additional Stafford Student Loan. Some of our students and parents will need additional funds from an alternative loan, many lenders offer these and research is encouraged. Step 6 ALTERNATIVE LOANS	Please do not apply for the Alternative loan until you are within 4 months of your start date. The lenders below are provided to you based on a past history of a positive working relationship with Spartan Staff and processes a proven history of service to our students and industry reputation. This list is provided because it is often requested please know that your selection of lender will in no way hinder the delivery of your loans.
