Welcome to Spartans Financial Aid Process
The following steps will serve as a guide to completing the process required to process your student aid in the most efficient manner.
Step 1
Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
You will be required to establish a FAFSA PIN, on the web site, once established you will need to complete the application itself. You will need to indicate Spartan College of Aeronautics (School Code 007678) as a designated institution to receive your results. Additionally, you will need your parents most recent Federal Tax Return if you are a dependent student or your own if you are an independent student. The majority of all student aid awarded is dependent on a complete and accurate FAFSA; please complete your FAFSA as soon as possible.

Complete the Spartan Financial Aid Application

Step 3
Complete the Student Loan Entrance Counseling
We encourage all students to complete the Mapping Your Future Student Loan Counseling so that we can expedite any loan needs that you may have.
Step 4
Receipt of Award Notification
Check your email. You will receive an Award Letter from the Spartan Financial Aid Department with your Financial Aid Awards outlined. Complete any all directions provided on your Award Letter. If you have been packaged with a Stafford or PLUS Loan please proceed to Step 5.
Step 5
Select a Lender and complete a Stafford Student Loan Master Promissory
We encourage all Dependent Students to have their Parents Complete a PLUS Loan Application; they are not required to accept any loan funds if approved, however, you may be eligible for an additional Stafford Student Loan. Some of our students an parents will need additional funds from an alternative loan, many lenders offer these and research is encouraged.
Student Loan Lenders – You are free to use any participating Department of Education Lender of your choice. Details about the loan programs and your choice are available from the Department of Education

This list is provided because it is often requested please know that your selection of lender will in now way hinder the delivery of your loans.
