An aircraft mechanic has the responsibility of
the maintenance of aircrafts registered in the
United States. Not just any aircraft maintenance
mechanic can repair an aircraft. The Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) requires that all aircraft
mechanics be certified by the FAA. This certification
is referred to as the Airframe and Powerplant certificate
